The story, not just the picture

Weave a Story.

A photograph is the evidence. The story is what the family actually passes down. Nostalgia reads what is already attached to your photos, the names, the dates, the note on the back, what the scene shows, and weaves a short narrative you can read aloud. It is a draft, in your hands: edit it, weave it again, or throw it away.

How It Works

Context in, story out

1

Add what you know

Who is in it, when and where it was taken, what was written on the back. The more context the photo carries, the more the story has to work with.

2

Weave it

Weave a single photo’s story, or a whole vault of them into one narrative that reads across the years.

3

Make it yours

Edit a line, weave it again for a different pass, or write over it entirely. Your edits take ownership and are never overwritten.

Details

Honest by design

It never invents people

Nostalgia does not know who is in your photos. It writes from the names you confirmed and the scene it can describe. Nothing else is asserted as fact.

A vault becomes a chapter

A vault’s photos weave into one story the whole family can read, and it regenerates as relatives add more.

A memorial gets its opening

For a Memorial, Nostalgia can suggest an opening tribute drawn from the photos. Accept it, edit it, or write your own.

A draft, clearly labelled

Generated text arrives marked as a draft. The moment you edit it, the words are yours and stay that way.

Write it down while someone still remembers

A print remembers nothing. Weave the story now, and the photo will carry it for the people who come after.
