Animate
Try subtle motion on portraits that already look trustworthy as stills. We keep animation optional because dignity matters more than novelty.
A restored portrait with an optional motion pass for suitable faces
Three steps to a careful animation pass
Upload or Restore
Start from any portrait. Restoration first is the safest path, and color should stay optional unless the still already looks trustworthy.
AI Animates
MiniMax generates a short motion clip from the still. If the face is too soft or the result feels uncanny, the right choice is to stop at the restored still.
Download MP4
Review the animation, then download as an MP4 video you can share with family or save to your album.
What animation handles
Subtle Expression
The goal is restrained motion, not spectacle. Review every output before sharing or archival use.
Works With Restored Photos
Animation works best after restoration. A clean monochrome still is a complete result, and some portraits should stop there.
Group & Solo Portraits
Single subjects and small group portraits are both supported. The model focuses on the most prominent face.
Shareable MP4 Output
The result is a standard MP4 video that plays everywhere: iMessage, WhatsApp, Instagram, email, and more.
Use animation carefully
Upload a portrait, review the still result first, and only animate if the photo supports it. Animation remains limited during the public beta and is not something we promise on every photo.
